Registration opens on September 16, 2025, at 9:00 a.m. EST for UTMB Index runners via the website https://borealys.utmb.world/ From September 18, 2025, at 9:00 a.m. EST, registration will be open to all, with no pre-registration or lottery required. All registrations must be completed online and paid securely by credit card.
Opening Period
Priority registration will be open exclusively to runners with a valid UTMB index from September 16, 2025, at 9:00 a.m. EST until September 18, 2025, at 9:00 a.m. EST (a 48-hour window). After this period, registration will be open to all runners — with or without a valid UTMB index — until July 24, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. EST, or until all race spots are sold out, whichever comes first. There will be no waitlist.

To another runner:
Registration is personal and cannot be transferred to another runner.
To another race of the same event :
It is possible to transfer your registration to a shorter distance up to 4 weeks before the event and within the limit of available spots. It is also possible to ask to transfer your registration to a longer distance but the request will not be automatically accepted and will be at the discretion of the race director. Transfers are only available if the new distance is not sold out. To request a change in the race distance, please contact the organization via the contact form accessible HERE.
If you have purchased insurance and request a transfer to a different race distance, you will be eligible for a refund of the original registration fee paid.
Please note that it is not possible to defer your registration to future editions of the Boréalys Mont-Tremblant by UTMB event or other events of the UTMB World Series.
A) Registrations with cancellation insurance :
Runners are offered the possibility to subscribe to a cancellation insurance with an external company offered by the organisation during the registration process. The purpose of cancellation insurance is to reimburse registration fees paid for Boréalys Mont-Tremblant by UTMB® event in case a participant wishes to cancel his or her registration. If you provide a documented reason (proof will be required) that meets the conditions set by the insurance company, you will receive a 100 % refund of your race bib cost. If no documented reason is provided, you will receive a 70 % refund of the race bib cost.
Runners who wish to be covered by the cancellation policy must pay an additional fee equal to 10 % of the total registration amount.
To cancel your registration and request a refund, log in to your registration dashboard and click "Declare a cancellation claim". Your registration will be cancelled, and your refund request will be sent directly to the insurance company for processing.
Cancellation insurance can only be purchased at the time of registration.
B) Registrations without cancellation insurance :
There will be no refunds for runners who wish to cancel their registration and have not purchased cancellation insurance. You can cancel your registration from your dashboard.
C) Exceptional conditions in case of event cancellation :
If the event or a race is cancelled, or if the event must be modified (for example, if one or more races need to be cancelled) for any reason beyond the organization’s control, more than 30 days before the start, participants may be eligible for a partial refund of their entry fees. The refund amount will be determined in a way that allows the organization to cover expenses already incurred as of the cancellation date.
