Relais 80K
The Relais 80K invites teams of 2 to 6 runners to tackle the relentless 80 km Boréalys Mont-Tremblant by UTMB course. This one-of-a-kind relay blends teamwork, endurance, and solidarity, giving athletes of all levels the opportunity to share the challenge of a world-class trail running event. Each team divides the distance into segments, allowing every runner to experience the breathtaking trails of Mont-Tremblant while contributing to a greater cause.
A portion of the entry fees from the relay are donated directly to one of two charities: the Association Québécoise de l’Épilepsie, which supports families and advances research, and the Fondation Tremblant, which helps underprivileged youth in the Laurentians.
Run together, push your limits, and make every kilometre count for those who need it most. The Relais 80K is more than a race—it’s a chance to run with purpose.
1. General Overview
The Boréalys Mont-Tremblant by UTMB 80K Relay is a charity, non-competitive event held on the same course as the Odyssée 100K. Teams of 2 to 6 runners take turns covering the course segments to support one of two official causes:
The Association québécoise de l’épilepsie or Fondation Tremblant.
The Relay is designed first and foremost as a team experience, an opportunity to contribute to a social cause, and a chance to discover Mont-Tremblant’s trails in a spirit of solidarity and personal achievement.
2. Registration and Fundraising
2.1 Registration
The registration fee is CAD $575 per team, taxes included (fixed amount regardless of the number of runners).
Each team must register online, and every team member must then complete their individual registration to obtain a personalized race bib.
Once the registration is confirmed, no refunds are possible unless cancellation insurance was purchased during registration.
2.2 Team Composition
Each team must include 2 to 6 runners. All participants must be 16 years or older on race day. A team captain must be designated during registration.
In case of injury or inability to participate, the captain may be replaced by notifying the organization at info@harricana.info
2.3 Fundraising
Each team commits to raising a minimum of $500 for their chosen cause before July 24, 2026. If the minimum is not reached by that date, the team will need to cover the difference to reach $500. If the amount is still not paid by July 24, 2026, the team’s participation will be canceled with no refund.
Once registered for the 80K Relay, teams must also register on the fundraising platform of their chosen cause to make the registration official. All necessary details will be sent to teams after registration.
2.4 Choice of Cause
75% of funds raised are donated directly to the chosen cause.
25% are allocated to UTMB Care, a humanitarian fund that supports local communities of UTMB World Series events in times of disaster or need.
3. Race Plan
Each team must fill out the Race Plan Form by July 28, 2026 (a Google Form automatically sent after registration). This plan must indicate:
Which runner covers each segment. Where relay transitions occur.
If the team has 6 runners, each runner completes one segment. If there are 5 or fewer, one or more runners must run two or more consecutive segments.
Once submitted, the race plan cannot be changed after July 28, 2026, except with special authorization from the organization.
3.1 Runner Replacement
In case of injury or unforeseen circumstances after July 28, the team must contact the organization at info@harricana.info
The organization will do its best to approve a replacement, depending on bib printing deadlines.
No refunds will be issued.
4. Race Day
4.1 Start
The first runner from each team will start with the Odyssée 100K runners. Only one runner per team must be present at the start line and must carry the relay baton, which will be passed between teammates at each transition point.
4.2 Relays
Relays must be completed only in official zones designated by the organization. Teammates are responsible for traveling between relay points using their own transportation—no shuttles are provided.
All routes between relay zones will be clearly marked and accessible, and a detailed map of transfers and parking will be provided. Carpooling is strongly encouraged to reduce traffic and congestion.

6. Race Rules
6.1 Relay Baton
The baton must be exchanged within the official relay zone. A baton provided by the organization at bib pickup must be passed between teammates at every transition to authorize the next runner’s start.
6.2 Compliance with General Regulations
Although this is a charity and non-competitive event, all team members agree to respect the official Boréalys Mont-Tremblant by UTMB regulations, available here: https://borealys.utmb.world/fr/runners/regulations
6.3 Withdrawal or Injury
As a charity event, there are no podiums or trophies. A non-competitive ranking will be published only for teams wishing to consult their times.
If a runner withdraws mid-segment:
The team may remain in the ranking if approved by the organization.
The team will be assigned a compensatory time equal to that of the slowest team on the same segment.
The next runner may start once 50% of other teams have completed the segment.
The team can then continue the relay normally, marked as having received an adjusted time.
7. UTMB Implications
The Boréalys 80K Relay is a non-qualifying event under the UTMB sports system:
No UTMB Index / No Running Stones / No official podium or trophies
Each team crossing the finish line will receive an honorary certificate recognizing their participation and contribution to the cause. An honorary podium will be held for the top 3 fundraising teams for each cause.
8. Spirit of the Relay
The 80K Relay is above all a human and collective adventure — a celebration of team trail running, and an opportunity to give back to the community. Teams are encouraged to wear their cause’s colors, share their stories, and embody the values of respect, perseverance, and solidarity.
The aid stations and their locations are shown in the course profile above. During the race, two types of aid stations will be available: liquid and solid. The products offered will vary depending on the type and location of the station. The detailed list of items available at the 2026 aid stations will be updated in the coming weeks and published under this section.
